Well I was walking in a pleasant trance
I didn’t notice anyone
and suddenly it seemed to me
I wasn’t having any fun

The sky was bitter and the moon was black
the skins of the buildings were icy
I stopped a while and looked around
tried to think more precisely

One day as a lion is worth a lifetime
as a mouse

For once I’m gonna put my own needs right up front
and get behind them
It all comes down, I flashed on it
to a couple of glimpses of the infinite

I know what I should do most of the time
and this time I will see it through
I don’t expect sudden miracles
but I wouldn’t mind one or two
